Abstract

Evaluation of Iraq’s policy, and its foreign relations, in light of the criteria of national interest, during the period between (2003) - (2020)

Foreign relations, in the policy of any country, represent one of the important issues, because the external environment, first, has a reflection on the inside, and because every country works on: Attracting benefits from the external environment, and every country works on: improving its image before the international community, these rules Public relations, and foreign relations: a way to represent the interests of the state and its presence in international relations, and the success achieved in it will quickly be reflected in the state.

The case of Iraq, after the year (2003), indicated a state of imbalance in the relationship between: external relations and national interests, which made the impact of the external environment on: security and national sovereignty high, and despite what Iraq had obtained from the resources of selling oil, it was spent in an almost devoid manner The existence of good governance, which is what made Iraq, lose financial assets worth more than: a thousand billion dollars, without a real development return.
