The Future of Managing Diversity in Iraq and Its Mechanisms
Abstract
Diversity management represents one of the most important mechanisms that countries follow to deal with social pluralism and diversity various within their countries, as it works through multiple policies with political, constitutional and social features to enable the political system to accommodate all components and affiliations that make up the state. It makes the process of peaceful coexistence one of the most important social and political features of the state. The goal of enabling diversity management as a general policy for the political system is to provide the appropriate environment for cultural pluralism and sub-affiliations, which makes the outcome of the system’s work through the executive and legislative authority proportionate with the goals intended by the political system, especially in countries going through transitional phases such as the case of Iraq, as ensuring the availability of diversity management policies help in stabilizing the political system and supporting development policies in the country.
