  1. Minor Violations

A minor violation refers to cases resulting from misunderstanding or unintentional non-compliance with academic standards or publishing requirements, which do not have a material impact on the integrity of the research or the peer-review process.

In such cases, the Journal may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Contacting the author or reviewer to clarify and address the violation.
  • Requesting the correction of the procedure or the completion of necessary academic requirements.
  • Issuing a formal notice or warning regarding the violation.
  • Documenting the incident in the Journal’s records for future reference.
  1. Serious (Major) Violations

A serious violation refers to any behavior involving a grave breach of research or publishing ethics, including, but not limited to: plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, intentional data concealment, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or any other practice that undermines the integrity of the scientific process.

In these cases, the Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the Editorial Board and, if necessary, external experts, shall make an appropriate decision based on the investigation results and available evidence. The possible actions, taken individually or collectively, include:

  1. Issuing a formal statement or notice clarifying the nature of the violation and the measures taken.
  2. Formally notifying the author's or reviewer's academic institution or employer regarding the proven violation.
  3. Retracting the published research in accordance with the Journal’s official retraction policy.
  4. Suspending or banning the submission of research or participation in the peer-review process for a period determined by the Editorial Board.
  5. Referring the case to the relevant academic, professional, or legal authorities for further investigation and appropriate action.
  6. Governing Principles

All procedures related to investigating allegations of academic misconduct are based on the principles of integrity, transparency, confidentiality, and procedural fairness, while ensuring the rights of all involved parties and preserving the credibility of the scientific record and the quality of academic publishing. The Editorial Board shall rely on the guidelines and recommendations provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling unethical behavior, as published on the Journal’s website.
