This study examines social cohesion as an effective tool for managing diversity in the city of Mosul, particularly in light of the profound social and security transformations the city experienced after 2014. The study proceeds from the importance of building positive relations among local community components and strengthening trust, mutual respect, and the rule of law in order to reduce the effects of conflict and rebuild the social fabric. It argues that managing diversity does not mean eliminating differences, but rather organizing them within an inclusive national framework based on citizenship, justice, and participation. The study also emphasizes the role of state institutions, civil society organizations, and educational and cultural programs in consolidating peaceful coexistence. It concludes that achieving social cohesion in Mosul requires a comprehensive approach that combines reconciliation, fairness, empowerment of social components, and the development of institutions capable of managing differences and transforming them into a source of strength and stability.
