The Status of Mental in Religious Discourse (Al-Taher bin Ashour as a model)
Abstract
There is no doubt that behind the violent and terrorist movements especially “in our current society” are many ideologies and intellectual systems in which different forms of discourse have been used، including religious discourse; Which some groups took as a cover and a mean to serve their political and economic agenda, deviating from the its origin، its truth، and the goals of religion. The need became necessary with the entry of our Arab world into the various revolutions known as the Arab Spring، and the tone of religious discourses changed to mobilize the largest group of people; for the benefit of a particular party or group، as if the religion is limited to that، and belief in the religious text has become a blind belief without rationality; so division occurred between the different sects of society، and conflicts of all kinds intensified، and the need became urgent to exit from this crisis; thus, it was necessary to search for different solutions، and appropriate treatment; to cure these dangerous lesions.
Perhaps the experience of the Tunisian scholar Sheikh Al-Taher bin Achour (1879- 1973) in his various reform projects is a model of the contemporary models that have tasked themselves with analyzing the religious، social، political، and educational reality، and criticizing the discourses prevalent in it. And imitation to renewal and reform، calling for the liberation of the human mind from all its restrictions، and dealing with all data according to the human far view from all tribal perceptions، and rigid interpretations، through his various books whose pillars are based on showing the purposes of the correct Sharia; which is built on the instinct that God created the people on it، which is the origin of human creation as we become clear through this research.
