The role of psychological Mentorship in Reducing Socially Unacceptable Behaviors among Working and Non-Working Children in Street

The current research aims to know the role of psychological counseling in treating the behavioral deviations of street children, and finds differences of statistical significance in the role of psychological counseling towards treating the behavioral deviations of the individuals of the sample according to the gender variable (males, females), And the researcher built a tool consisting of (24) paragraphs divided into four domains (family, psychological, societal, media and security) and each paragraph had three alternatives (always, sometimes, often), and the highest score for the scale was (72) and the lowest score (24) The hypothetical medium (48) was presented the tool to the arbitrators, and the researcher identified street children in Diyala province as a research community, and the number of sample individuals reached (50) children and girls from the Baquba district of the center. The answers of the research sample on the statistical tool were analyzed through the statistical app. (spss) for social sciences, and the results showed that the level of behavioral deviations in children is high and they have a tendency to continuously acquire deviant behaviors and this is what appears on their verbal behaviors. The results showed that the role of psychological counseling is effective and influential in treating the behavioral deviations of street children. Psychological counseling, with its various methods and techniques, can change their deviant behaviors if the appropriate family and social environment is provided. The results also showed that males are more influential in counseling in Addressing female behavioral deviations, and the researchers developed a number of recommendations and proposals.
